The two clinical research units of the Institute of Biomedical Research of Girona Josep Trueta (IDIBGI) have joined the Clinical Research Unit in Clinical Trials (UICEC) of IDIBELL as a member of the Clinical Research Support Platform of the Carlos III Institute of Health (Spanish Clinical Research Network, SCReN).
IDIBELL and Bellvitge Hospital have renewed their participation in this ISCIII platform, being one of the 27 clinical research support units that make up the ISCIII platform throughout the Spanish state during the period 2024-2026. As a novelty, the UICEC IDIBELL incorporates on this occasion the two Clinical Research Units of IDIBGI as an associated unit.
The IDIBGI acts as manager of the clinical research carried out in the health centres of the Hospital Universitari Dr. Josep Trueta - Catalan Institute of Health Girona, Hospital Santa Caterina - Institute of Health Care and Catalan Institute of Oncology Girona (ICO).
In total, there are 30 people at IDIBGI dedicated to supporting clinical research, distributed in two units:
