The government of the Generalitat has granted the Institute of Biomedical Research of Girona Doctor Josep Trueta (IDIBGI) a contribution of 642,000 euros under the call for Singular Projects ("Projectes Singulars") to co-finance the IDIBGI expansion project "New research spaces for IDIBGI: rehabilitation and adaptation" in the M2 building, located in the Martí i Julià Hospital Park in Salt. The project will consist on building a new wing that will increase the surface of 500 m2 in spaces dedicated to laboratories and other spaces for the research staff. This grant will cover the 50% of the total cost.
This project is co-financed by the Departament de Recerca i Universitats de la Generalitat de Catalunya, in the framework of the call EMC/954/2019, of April 9, for the realization of singular institutional projects that enable the generation of research of excellence, the attraction of talent and the development of knowledge transfer and valorization activities, through the construction, acquisition, habilitation or substantial expansion of buildings for R&D infrastructures.
