Projects Management Office

Presentation


The Office for National and International Projects is dedicated to the promotion and management of local, autonomous, national, and international projects. The main objectives of the Office are:

Promote the participation and leadership of research staff in projects and networks
Attract talent
Provide comprehensive support for project management, both in the application phase and in the project implementation phase

Portfolio of services

The Project Office is at the service of research personnel, from the preparation and application of a project through to its completion. Additionally, it performs global tasks related to internationalization. The main tasks that are carried out are:

Project promotion phase
Analysis of the lines of research and strengths of the research groups with a view to international funding and collaboration opportunities
Identify, analyse, and disseminate competitive tenders
Support the preparation and submission of proposals and acceptance of grants
Promote and disseminate the current projects and keep the Portfolio of IDIBGI projects up to date
Project management phase
Negotiating, monitoring, and managing the project budget by ensuring compliance with the standards and policies of the funding body
Elaborating economic justifications for projects and audits
Reviewing and negotiating consortium agreements
Establishing communication with project coordinators and partners, and providers of funds

Advise research personnel on the non-scientific aspects of projects (financing, third parties, data management, gender, RRI, IPR, communication and dissemination, impact, among others)
Planning and organizing training and informational sessions for research staff regarding projects
Specifically support the coordination of project consortia led by IDIBGI groups
Develop projects to promote internationalization and encourage collaborations with other research centres, universities and health research and innovation system bodies.

Funding calls

There are various local, regional, national and international, especially European, grants in the health sector to which you can apply for funding in order to carry out a specific research and innovation project.

Strategic projects

Internationalization

Internationalization is a strategic and transversal goal of the IDIBGI, present in a set of strategic lines related to the organizational, scientific and relationship model of the IDIBGI.

In 2019, the Office of International Projects, along with the respective units of the Biomedical Research Institutes of Tarragona (IISPV) and Lleida (IRBLleida), joined forces to work together on the GO-HERO project (Health European Research Offices). The priorities of the GO-HERO consortium are:

  • Reinforce international project departments
  • Design and implement a training plan for the internationalization of research
  • Increase the international visibility of the institutes.

Study of human models of Intestinal Dysbiosis in Inflammatory Diseases

Project name: Characterization and development of bread-making processes with positive impact on human health: study of human models of Intestinal Dysbiosis in Inflammatory Diseases (EXPTE. RTC2017-6467-2).

Description: Identify and characterize the nutritional components of EliasBoulanger long fermentation wheat bread (EBLF Bread), including the microbiological actors involved in the fermentative processes of the sourdough, focusing on the identification of strains and their corresponding processes and assess their impact on the sensory profile of the breads, as well as on consumer acceptability.

Funding entity: Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities.

Amount: 75,547.00 €.

This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). "A way to make Europe".

The IDIBGI collaborates with entities, private companies, organizations, and associations through strategic alliances that help promote research initiatives in the field of health, give value to technologies that arise from biomedical research to implement them in the Catalonian health system and the territory.

Internacionalització

L’Oficina de Projectes Internacionals està dedicada a la promoció i gestió dels projectes d’àmbit internacional. Els principals objectius de l’Oficina són:

- Promoure la participació i el lideratge del personal investigador en projectes i xarxes internacionals

- Atraure talent internacional

- Donar suport integral a la gestió dels projectes internacionals, tant en la fase de sol·licitud com en la fase d’execució dels projectes

  • Assessorar el personal investigador en els aspectes no científics dels projectes (finançament, terceres parts, gestió de dades, gènere, RRI, IPR, comunicació i disseminació, impacte, entre d'altres)
  • Planificar i organitzar sessions formatives i informatives pel personal investigador referents a projectes europeus
  • Donar suport específic a la coordinació de projectes internacionals liderats per grups de l’IDIBGI
  • Desenvolupar projectes per promoure la internacionalització i fomentar les col·laboracions amb altres centres de recerca, universitats i organismes del sistema de recerca i innovació en salut.
