On April 11, the Girona Biomedical Research Institute Dr. Josep Trueta (IDIBGI) received a visit from several participants of Oncoswim, the charitable swimming challenge promoted by Fundació Oncolliga Girona and Radikal Swim.

During the visit, Dr. Gemma Viñas, oncologist at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) Girona and researcher in the Precision Oncology research group at IDIBGI, explained the current state of research on triple-negative breast cancer. This project is being developed by the Precision Oncology group (IDIBGI-ICO) in collaboration with the TargetsLab research group at the University of Girona, thanks to the support raised through Oncoswim. Researchers from the Cardiovascular Genetics research group (IDIBGI) are also involved in the study.
