The call for the post-residency “Talent Gironí” grant has been opened, aiming to promote the combination of clinical and research activities. This call is directed at healthcare professionals who have completed their residency and will grant to one candidate, allowing them to combine clinical practice with research.

Promoted by Dipsalut and the Girona Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBGI), this initiative is supported by the Official College of Doctors of Girona (COMG). Healthcare institutions that candidates may belong to also collaborate in this initiative: the Catalan Institute of Health in Girona, the Institute of Health Care, the Catalan Institute of Oncology in Girona, and the Institute of Diagnostic Imaging.

What does this grant allow?

The grant provides the opportunity to join an IDIBGI research group for one year, with the possibility of an extension for up to two years, combining this activity with clinical work. The selection of the beneficiary will be carried out through a competitive process that will assess both their career trajectory and the proposed research project, as well as the experience of the research group they will join.
