The Girona Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBGI) is joining the Women and Girls in Science Week organized by Girona City Council, taking place from February 10 to 16. As part of this initiative, IDIBGI will hold an open day on the afternoon of February 14 at its headquarters in the Martí i Julià Hospital Park in Salt. The event will give participants the chance to discover the institute's main research lines, explained firsthand by its research team.
The main goal of this event is to bring science closer to the general public, break stereotypes, and inspire the interest of new generations in science. The activity is open to anyone interested in learning more about how biomedical research is carried out in Girona. Registration is now open at this link.
The Women and Girls in Science Week is an initiative promoted by Girona City Council in collaboration with various entities, such as the University of Girona (UdG), ERAM, the 3Digital Manufacturing Lab, and IDIBGI itself. Throughout the week, conferences, round tables, workshops, and other activities will highlight women's contributions to science and technology. You can check out all the activities here.
IDIBGI encourages the public to actively participate in this event and join the various activities scheduled throughout the week, all aimed at contributing to a more inclusive and equitable science.
