The Sopar dels Miralls reaches its fifth edition, firmly established as an exclusive and meaningful evening in support of biomedical research at IDIBGI. The event, taking place on Friday, March 28, 2025, at Hotel Mas Solà (Santa Coloma de Farners), will bring together prominent personalities committed to biomedical research with all those who wish to share a table with them. Today, the event was presented at IDIBGI, and registrations to participate are now open.
To mirror someone, follow their example, and engage in inspiring conversations—this is what the Sopar dels Miralls offers. Organized by Planella Events, this dinner provides attendees with a unique experience, allowing them to share a meal with distinguished hosts while contributing to medical research. The funds raised during the evening will be entirely allocated to the Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica de Girona Dr. Josep Trueta (IDIBGI), a leading institution in research aimed at improving health and patient care. IDIBGI brings together more than 400 researchers in the fields of cardiovascular and respiratory health, cancer, mental health, neurology, metabolism, and inflammation.
This year, the dinner will once again feature top-tier hosts with whom attendees can share a table. The first announced hosts include Antoni Bassas, Edgar Canet, Magda Carlas, Sílvia Cóppulo, Manuel Delgado, Helena Garcia Melero, Xavier Grasset, Jordi LP, Artur Mas, Tomàs Molina, Anna Navarro, Martí Peraferrer, Cristina Puig, Raül Romeva, Carme Ruscalleda, Pep Sala, Marc Timón, and more names will be revealed leading up to the solidarity night. All of them are renowned figures in culture, sports, communication, business, and other fields.
During the presentation event, one of the dinner’s iconic elements was also unveiled: the apron, which is gifted each year to the hosts in appreciation of their altruistic participation. This edition’s chosen color for the apron is green, symbolizing the hope that biomedical research brings for a healthier future with fewer diseases.
The Sopar dels Miralls is open to both individuals and companies wishing to support biomedical research. For individuals, it is an opportunity to enjoy a special night, give a unique gift, or share an experience with friends. For companies, it represents an excellent occasion to demonstrate social commitment, invite clients or collaborators, and network in an exclusive setting.
Participants can choose the host they would like to share a table with or even suggest new ones. Additionally, those unable to attend the dinner but who still wish to contribute can do so through the "Plat 0" initiative.
Table reservations can be made via the website www.elsopardelsmiralls.cat, by email (hola@elsopardelsmiralls.cat), or by phone or WhatsApp (972 21 84 82 / 609 312 254).
Menus can be purchased individually or collectively, with organizations and companies having the option to book full tables of 8 or 10 guests, accompanied by a distinguished figure. For individuals participating alone, up to five host preferences can be selected.
The organization also invites the public to suggest new host names to join the already confirmed personalities. This is an opportunity to experience an exceptional evening while contributing to a future with better health for everyone.
The Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica de Girona Dr. Josep Trueta (IDIBGI) conducts translational research to improve health and patient care.
