The third edition of the Research Award in Sepsis and Infectious Diseases of the Girona Health Region is now open. Its goal is to recognize a research project on sepsis and infectious diseases in any of its phases: proposal, preliminary results, or completed work (partially presented at a conference, published, or accepted for publication). Priority will be given to projects or publications that have contributed to or are focused on obtaining a doctoral thesis. This initiative is promoted by Dr. Josep Maria Sirvent.
The award includes a financial prize of €6,000, which must be used for activities related to the development of the project, publication of results, or the defense of the doctoral thesis. Eligible expenses are detailed in the award guidelines.
How to participate?
Applicants must be researchers affiliated with an IDIBGI research group or any group/service from hospitals or primary care within the Girona Health Region.
Submit the required documentation outlined in the award guidelines to projectes@idibgi.org before 11:59 p.m. on May 13, 2025, with the subject line “Premi Sèpsia i malalties infeccioses 2025”.
The award decision will be announced on June 13, 2025, and all applicants will be notified.
