The ageing Imagenoma is a population observational study for the development of magnetic resonance-based integral body imaging markers in individuals that are 50 years of age or older and their relationship to factors in the biopsychosocial, cardiovascular, metabolic, lipidomous, microbiomic spheres, and other factors associated with aging.

Type of donor

  • People between 50 and 100 years of age who have previously participated in the project on healthy maturity and aging in Girona (MESGI50).
  • Sign informed consent.
  • Number: Approx. 1,000 donors.

Type of samples

  • Biological samples of serum, plasma, buffy coat, urine and stool.
  • Medical imaging and radiological data based on advanced magnetic resonance imaging.

Collection point

Purpose

  • Creating the first large population repository of advanced morphological, functional, and metabolic MRI-based radiological images and data from the human body.
  • Creating a population aging atlas of the human body based on advanced MRI image and omic data to help stratify the population.
  • Determine the degree of association between integral body MRI and omic biomarkers with multiple biopsychosocial health parameters and other changes associated with aging.
