Type of donor

  • Patients who have had an ischemic or haemorrhagic stroke, or those that have undergone atheroma plaque surgery.
  • Sign informed consent.
  • Number: Over 650 donors.

Type of samples

Serum, plasma, buffy coat, and atheroma plaque. Haematic derivatives come from blood donations performed at different times during hospital admission to patients or coinciding with the control visits for their cerebrovascular disease. In the case of additional carotid artery atheroma plaque samples, these are extracted by taking advantage of the care process.

Having biological samples and associated data to conduct research studies on the different forms of cerebrovascular disease and the risks of suffering them.
