Type of donor

Patients who meet the following criteria.

Inclusion criteria:

• Patients with thyroid pathology of any etiology, who at the time of study are not in a situation of euthyroidism regardless of whether or not a specific treatment for thyroid dysfunction has begun.
• Sign informed consent.

Exclusion criteria:

• Patients with a history of heart disease, in treatment with chronotropic drugs, pregnancy and lactation.

Number: Over 40 donors.

Type of samples

Serum, plasma, buffy coat and tumour tissue.

Collection points

• The samples come from any centre that is part of the Consortium for the study of thyroid cancer (CECAT)
• Currently, samples are collected from the Hospital Universitari de Girona Dr. Josep Trueta

Purpose

CECAT is a platform that brings together most hospitals in Catalonia and the IDIBGI Biobank with the aim of improving comprehensive care for patients with thyroid cancer and the knowledge of this disease.
